Welcome to my collection of Popsies -  a 3-dimensional wooden greetings figure made in Japan and distributed by Pride Creations of Fifth Avenue, New York back in 1960/1970s which I have been collecting for around 10 years.

The first Popsie was patented in December 1966 and has listed the Inventory as Henry Rosenfeld, but to date I have not be able to find out much more information about these little "darlings"...

Each figure has a spring in the base which you push down and a message pops up through a slot in head.

Greetings included messages for Birthdays, Love, Friendship, Holidays and Convalescence - some risque - some not - some fairly “cheesy” and sentimental by today’s standards - but I love them all !!!

Each Popsie was numbered and sent in a special brown mailing box with an accompanying hanging tag. Working from various Popsie brochures and my own collection I have hopefully managed to allocate the right number to each Popsie - if I have made a mistake on numbering please please let me know.

Thank You

Enjoy...........................
