DAN DEE IMPORTS
These figures are very similar to the Pride Creations Popsie figures and seem to be have sold at same (if not earlier) than the Popsies - see the stamp taken from a figure below.
The first three figures work in the same way as a Popsie, i.e. push the figure down and a message pops up through the slit in the head. The second set have a string protruding from a hole at the back of the figure - pull on the string and the message pops up.
I have no other information relating to his company and its range of "Popsie" figures
DAN DEE - MAILING BOXES
Each Dan Dee figure was sold with a mailing box which had a color photo of the models on the end flap
There seem to be a couple of differences between the Dan Dee push-up figures and the original Popsies - the message has been printed on clear material (tape) and stuck on - on the original Popsies this was painted/stamped onto the figure. The feet on the Dan Dee models are painted and the figure is mounted on a stand - which again has a message printed on clear tape and stuck on the front of the stand.
